Eight Ways Your Organization Will Benefit from Teams
Eight Ways Your Organization Will Benefit from Teams
November 16, 2000
"If your organization is still trying to determine if teams are worth it, consider the following:
1. Team output usually exceeds individual output.
2. Complex problems can be solved more effectively.
3. Creative ideas are usually stimulated in the presence of other individuals who have the same focus, passion, and excitement.
4. Support arises among team members.
5. Teams infuse knowledge.
6. Teams promote organizational learning in a work setting.
7. Teams promote individual self-disclosure and examination.
8. Teams both appreciate and take advantage of diversity (Woodring & Zigarmi, 1997, p.5)."
