1. "Build team spirit by emphasizing cooperation as opposed to competition among members.
2. Build team power by giving group credit and encouraging each group member to do the same.
3. Build team togetherness by sharing the similarities that you observe among group members.
4. Build team togetherness by being a common interest detective.
5. Build a person-to-person link by identifying common struggles and challenges that face each person.
6. Build team togetherness by emphasizing the common goal that links the members of the team.
7. Build team morale by focusing on team effort, instead of just success or failure.
8. Emphasize the importance of improvement to team members to build realistic incentives and to 'fire up' their efforts.
9. Be a successful leader by pointing out how each person is a necessary contributor to the goals of the team.
