"Though Generation X demographically begins with birth year 1965, most people born in the early sixties will tell you they identify more with the Generation X personality than with the Baby Boomers. This group of people will provide our primary supply of new labor for the next ten years (Raines, 1997, p.9-10). "

1. Appreciate us. Show us you care.
2. Be flexible. Let us have a life beyond work.
3. Create a team. Give us the family we never had.
4. Develop us. Help us to increase our skills.
5. Involve us. Ask our opinions.
6. Lighten up. Remember, it's not brain surgery.
7. Walk your talk. Practice what you preach (Raines, 1997, p. 62)."
