Don't Play These Games at Work
Don't Play These Games at Work
August 20, 2003
"Don't play these games - gossiping, politicking, scheming - at work. Come to work to do your job and do it well. When others play games, keep focused on your own job and goals.
When you share information about others at work, remember these guiding questions: 'Is it true?' 'Is it kind?' 'Is it necessary?'
Be known as someone positive. Doing what needs to be done includes being an advocate for those you work for and with. Don't dwell on the negative but rather be the person who is continually positive and forward-looking (Nelson, 2001, p. 40)."

What games are you playing at work?
