Mar 30 - Effective Leaders
Effective Leaders
- "Effective leaders listen.
If we do not hear what is said to us, our leadership will be impertinent.
- Effective leaders have vision.
A leader charts a course, navigates difficult places, and sets an example.
- Effective leaders are passionate.
They have a passion for their role, their task, and their partners.
- Effective leaders are facilitators.
Leaders do not shelter those they care for from the harsh realities of life. They facilitate the ability of others to live passionate lives.
- Effective leaders empower.
This will occur as you talk with them (those who follow), share your struggles with them, convey your convictions, declare your doubts, and tell them about the difficulties you are experiencing determination (Gray, Stephens & Van Diest, 2001, p. 22)."
