The Gifts of Discovery
"Discovery refers to an unexpected find or sudden recognition in the course of a search. The Discovery Cycle is the high point in the transformation journey. In mythological tales, discovery is a time of creation and rebirth. It is the point at which the heroes and heroines have wrestled with the obstructing dragon and snatch the pearl from its mouth. Or they are finally led to the treasure cave or see the Promised Land. The dragon's pearl, treasure cave, the Promised Land, and other mythological tropes such as the tree of life, magic flute, and the meeting with gods and goddesses, are all metaphors for the discovery of authentic power. Discovery gives you newfound energy to achieve your true purpose and potential (Allen, R.C., 2002, p. 148)."
