Fear of Failure
Fear of Failure
"This drives every SEAL! You know that the men with you give every ounce of energy, and then some, for you and for the others around them. If you fail your Team, you fail yourself. When part of a Team, the worst feeling you can have is that when your Team needed you the most, you did not come through. The opposite of course, is the deep feeling of satisfaction for not only a job well done but also the knowledge that you and every one of your Teammates have benefited.
This is the key to any truly successful Team. You cannot force this feeling of duty and dedication on someone; it needs to come from them. You must trust every individual on your Team, and they must trust you. Tolerance of anything less will be harmful to your Team (Needham, 2003, p. 93)."
What drives your team?
