- People feel safe.
- People feel accepted.
- People feel challenged.
- People feel recognized.
- People receive constructive feedback.
- People see that innovation is expected.
- People are given easy access to information.
- People are given authority appropriate to their accountability.
- People are given clear-cut and non-contradictory rules and guidelines.
- People are encouraged to solve their own problems.
- People see that rewards for success are far greater than any penalties for failure.
- People are encouraged to learn and are rewarded for learning.
- People observe congruence between an organization's mission statement and professed philosophy, on the one hand, and the behavior of leaders and managers on the other.
- People experience fair and just treatment.
