Oct 23 - General Principles of Good Feedback
General Principles of Good Feedback
October 23, 2007
"Feedback is always meant to be positive. Its goal is to improve the current situation or performance - it's goal is never to criticize or offend.
- Be descriptive rather than evaluative
- Be specific instead of general
- Solicit feedback rather than impose it
- Time it
- Focus on what can be changed
- Check the feedback
- Demonstrate caring (Bens, 2005. p.115)."
