* Leadership is about the followers - it's not about me.
* Effective leaders are purpose-driven (mission).
* Vision is critical to inspire, motivate and offer lives of significance.
* Character counts: Leaders must determine 'who they are' (values)...before considering 'what they do.' (vision)
* Results matter:  Execution drives results.  Metrics are key to driving desired performance.
* It takes discipline and in intentional process to create a values-based organization (Awareness-Alignment-Accountability).
* Humility  is the indispensable trait; humility precedes glory(Taylor, 2007, p.137).
