Thomas Jefferson's Rules of Conduct
Thomas Jefferson's Rules of Conduct
June 30, 2009
From: Riffenbary, J. (2007). No excuse! incorporating core values, accountability, and balance into our life and career. Possibility Press.
Never put off 'til tomorrow what you can do today. Never trouble another for what you can do for yourself. Never spend money before you have it. Never buy anything you do not want because it is cheap. Take care of your change; dollars will take care of themselves. Pride costs us more than hunger, thirst, and cold. We never repent for having eaten too little. Nothing is troublesome that one does of his own volition. How much pain has cost us the evils which have never happened. Take things always be their smooth handle. Think as you please, and so let others, and you will have no disputes. When annoyed count to 10 before you speak. If very annoyed, count to 100 (Riffenbary, 2007, p. 203).
