We tend to blame superiors and co-workers for nixing creativity and innovation with deadly "killer phrases"... all purpose, politically correct phrases like "it'll never fly," or "we tried it before." But sometimes we ourselves are guilty of using these and dozens of other "put downs" when people are trying to advance an idea for the benefit of the organization.  "YES, BUT..." is based on the best selling paperback book by Charles "Chic" Thompson. It offers the best I.D.E.A. ever put forth for defusing "killer phrases" and the people who use them.

Participants will learn to:

Identify killer phrases
Deal with their root causes
Explore options for giving negative thinkers new perspectives
Act on the strongest options

and, listen for affirmative "Yes, and...", "what if..." and "what a great idea" language.

The "YES, BUT..." workshop utilizes a humorous, non-confrontational strategy to clear serious road blocks from the path of sound decision making... including blatant creative stagnation and negative attitudes.
