Leadership at the Movies

This interactive workshop will highlight leadership theories and styles exhibited in popular movies such as "The Firm", "Hoosiers", "Wall Street", "Dave", etc. Participants will learn how to use these movies to creatively teach others about the various leadership theories and styles currently discussed in the literature. 

Case studies will be used to: 
  • Recognize key leadership issues, attributes and behaviors in the performance of others;


  • Explain how key leadership models and theories pertaining to group composition and homogeneity and heterogeneity are illustrated;


  • Identify key decisions made by the film's main characters and discuss the implications and outcomes of these decisions; and;


  • Evaluate the effectiveness of different leadership behaviors in various situations.
