Ever wonder why men prefer not to ask for directions? It is because men communicate to compete and women communicate to collaborate. So, a man asking for directions is admitting to losing. During conversations, women tend to nod their heads to indicate that she is listening. A man observes the nodding and assumes that it means that the woman is agreeing with what he says.
